My new 1kv single coil model, what can I say beside's awsome! I mean the force of this coil is spectacular especialy when using a larger 30 gram projectile which would break 1" thick sheets of plywood in half. With the smaller galvanized nails I can shoot through 3 soda cans "straight through" and have made a new display of force using sheets of printer paper which it can tear through 90 pages. I am now making a portable coil stand which will be held by straping or posistioning to my forarm with 2 1" long brace's coming up from the main coil/barrell cylinder. The first brace shall be used as a handle with 3 buttons charge, fire, and laser on/off. The other shall strap to my forarm near the elbow with simple velcro. Im looking for the best wire to use going from the capacitors up to the coil, possibly awg10 heavy insulation wire from surplus of Nebraska for $9/foot. Look forward for my greastest coilgun model ever, the 5kv gun will be nearly 3x the speed of this current model. Now how the hell am I gonna switch 5kamps.........
